The Journey Here
From running a downtown storefront to a slower, more intentional practice, I bring my background as a writer, educator, and entrepreneur to the heart of this work.
Returning to the Core
I’ve been doing this work professionally since 2018. It started in my living room with a feeling I couldn't quite explain yet, and it eventually grew into a thriving downtown business in Easton that put the work of energy, intuition, and creativity right at the forefront.
Recently, I made a conscious choice to strip back the business and return to the basics. I wanted to slow the pace of life down, balance my family and my calling more sustainably, and focus entirely on what it’s always been about at its core: me and my clients working together to restore vitality, connection, and joy. I’m profoundly proud to keep serving my clients into the future through one-on-one sessions.
Before any of this, though, I was collecting the pieces that would eventually make up this work. I spent thirteen years teaching writing and rhetoric at the university level. I was a journalist and a writer—and I still think of myself as the latter. I was a mom navigating the landscape of being a parent in a world changing at warp speed. And, above all, I was a seeker trying to reconcile the potential for beauty in the world with the influx of chaos, violence, and hardship presented all around us.
The Floor Dropping Out
I was good at the life I'd built, and then the floor dropped out from under me.
A disorienting set of experiences made my ability to keep moving impossible. Through loss and fear, I was knocked down in a way that changed everything I thought I knew about who I was and the world I lived in. I was lost and didn’t know if I would ever find my way back.
Like all good stories, it was there, lost and on the verge of hopelessness, that everything changed.
I found that I could do things I hadn't been trained for. I could feel what people were carrying in their bodies, pick up on what was sitting underneath a conversation, and receive specific information about someone before I'd even met them. I told my family and shared those experiences with friends, looking for a witness to tell me whether I was making it all up.
But what I was perceiving from people, what I was connecting with when I leaned in just a little closer… it was consistent, had a real shape, and persisted in ways that made what I was experiencing undeniable.
I had an awakening of sorts. An activation, really. Everything about my skills, my history, my traits and quirks, up until then, had been training. Everything that I experienced was preparation. And when it was time for me to do this work, I was fully prepared.
I often say it is like walking into an office full of furniture, books, computers, phones, and family photos. Even the sign on the door was already there. When I was ready, when I was activated, I simply had to open the door and turn on the light switch. Everything was waiting for me.
The Activation
The Practice Today
Since 2018, I have been working with clients from all walks of life, coming to me with the most varied needs and hopes. I have been witness to the suffering of those who faced unimaginable loss, and I have cheered on men and women as they embarked on incredible journeys.
What I care about most is doing this with integrity, compassion, and humanity. People come here during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives, and I don't take that casually.
One of the best comments I’ve ever heard about what this work means captures it best:
“I feel like I’m returning to a home that I didn’t know I was missing. And now that I’m back, everything makes sense again.”
Ultimately, my work is about service to others so that the world can heal—and doing it in a way that honors my life, my family, and the clients who are at the very heart of everything I do.
